Upgrade 193
Version 5.193.003 information page
With version 5.153 the Fincon Server has changed. You will not be able to upgrade to 5.153 without also upgrading your Fincon Server to 5.93. (The latest being 5.93.7 with version 5.167.001) Please also download the Fincon Server Setup below and follow these steps to install:
- Go to Programs, Fincon Server, Server configuration. On the configuration tag make a note of the first 5 values. Users, Tables, Work Areas, List entries and Connections.
- Now uninstall the old Fincon Server by stopping the Fincon server service and then un-installing it in the Server configuration Service tag and remove it under control panel add/remove programs.
- Now install the new Fincon server by executing the Fincon Server Setup downloaded below.
- After installation go into Programs, Fincon Server, Server configuration. On the configuration tag, make sure the number of connections is at least 5 more than the number of users that use Fincon simultaneously and enter the first 5 values the same as copied in the first step. Then save the configuration settings. On the service tag, select install service and start service
- On your firewall (if installed) the default ports used by the server is 3901 and 3902. Make sure that these ports are open (in the firewall exception list)
- Now proceed with upgrading the Fincon Client software.
- Make sure that there are no “old” versions of Fitcomm.dll (other than 5.92) floating around on the system.

Rules when installing an upgrade:
- Always make a backup of all your existing information.
- After installing the upgrade, make sure that you are the only user and run Fincon to perform the upgrade. Do not allow any other users into the program until the upgrade is complete.
- Make sure that all the stations run the same version of Fincon. (You should receive a message when trying to enter Fincon with a wrong version.)
